RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — Here comes the cold front! As of this writing, the front was approaching the Triad, and will push through the Triangle within a couple hours of either side of the evening commute. While a quick shower can’t be ruled out, tonight we’ll see skies clear quickly, and that temperature dropping just as fast.
Behind the front, noticeably cooler air will funnel into the region and a much cooler Thursday is in store. After highs today in the mid- to upper 60s, Thursday will present a struggle to top out very far above 55 on a north wind.
Friday will be a nice and seasonable day with high pressure just to the south before the next cold front arrives on Saturday. Another gusty period is on tap with a chance of showers as highs reach similar level to those expected today. That will give way to another span of nice weather before the next, potentially more complicated frontal system appears in the Monday-Wednesday timeframe. Stay tuned…
Have a great evening!
