TAILGATING FAQ’S
Q: How much are tailgate passes?
A: Passes are available for the November 30 game at a special introductory rate of $25 per pass, good for one vehicle, in one parking spot. Click here to purchase.
Q: Where is the designated tailgate area?
A: Zone 13 on upper campus (See green areas on map).
Enter East-West Road off of Dole St. or Maile Way off of University Ave., then take a left at Kennedy Theatre. The lot extends from Kennedy Theatre to Campus Center. This location is a quick 5-10 minute walk to Clarence T.C. Ching Field. Click here for map
Q: Will I be able to cook at my tailgate spot?
A: Yes, but it has to be a gas grill with a tank ranging from 5 lbs to 25 lbs. No charcoal, wood, or deep fryers.
Q: What if I already have a season or individual-game parking pass?
A: We recommend giving your (physical) season parking pass or transferring your individual game (digital) pass to a friend, family member or fellow UH fan to use.
Q: Can I tailgate in the parking structure?
A: No. Zone 20 is not a part of the plan, and will not be in future as the confinements are considered dangerous and a “high risk”.
Q: Can I buy a tailgate pass when I arrive on the day of the game?
A: No, all tailgate passes need to be purchased ahead of time. Click here to purchase.
Q: Can I set up a TV and watch the UH game at my tailgate spot?
A: No, the tailgate lot will close 30 minutes before kickoff and fans will be instructed to head to the game or leave. If you wish to bring a television to have as a part of your setup and watch other games during the designated time. You’re welcome to enjoy it with your friends and family.
Q: Can I park the night before and leave my vehicle?
A: No, the tailgate lot will only open four hours before kickoff.
Q: How far of a walk is it to the football stadium from the designated tailgating lot?
A: From the furthest point of the Kennedy Theatre, it’s less than a quarter mile or a 10 minute walk. From the campus center portion of the tailgate lot, it’s a five minute walk.
Q: Can we drink alcohol at our tailgate gathering?
A: UH will enforce the same rules as your favorite beach spot and the previously stated rules at Aloha Stadium with no alcoholic beverage consumption in the parking lot.
