ST. LOUIS – A 49-year-old food delivery driver was finishing an order when he was threatened and robbed at gunpoint by a customer on Sunday night.
According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police, the victim said he was delivering food to a residence in the 3800 block of Kossuth in the city’s Fairgrounds neighborhood around 8 p.m. when the robbery took place.
The man purchasing the food from the delivery driver presented him with allegedly fake money. When the victim questioned the money, the suspect pulled out a gun and demanded the food and any money the victim had.
Police said the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call the Central Patrol Division at 314-444-2500 for a District 4 detective. Anyone who wants to remain anonymous and is interested in a possible reward can call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477).
