MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A jackknifed tractor-trailer has closed exit 1B on the westbound side of Interstate 691 in Meriden.
According to state police, they were called to I-961 near exit 1B for the tractor-trailer around 9:00 a.m. The tractor-trailer is resting down the embankment, and exit 1B is closed as crews work to remove it.
Officials say no injuries were reported and no other vehicles were involved.
The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is also assisting with a fuel spill.
Exit 1B is closed and drivers are being diverted to I-91. State police have not shared when the exit will reopen.
