- Partners with Schneider to integrate IT and OT, enhance industry efficiency
- Join forces to establish a 5G private network lab supporting SHRDC’s digital innovation
Enfrasys Solutions Sdn Bhd, a leading local provider and system integrator of cloud-based solutions, has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with various parties to advance digital transformation for enterprises and industries in Malaysia.
The first MoU with the Selangor Human Resource Development Centre (SHRDC) signifies a collaboration to enhance industry digital solutions through deploying a 5G private network and edge computing. The partnership aims to establish a temporary 5G private network lab to support SHRDC’s mission of driving digital solution design, innovation, and transformation for industries in Selangor.
Enfrasys will provide key enablers for scalable innovation, including the 5G private network in the Malaysian Smart Manufacturing 4.0 development centre, and offer necessary support and consultation. SHRDC will facilitate the setup of the network, identify initial use cases, and engage with solution providers and corporate partners.
Syed Budriz Putra Jamalullail, chairman of Enfrasys, stated, “This collaboration underscores our shared vision to accelerate 5G adoption among enterprises, which is crucial for Selangor’s digital transformation. The adoption of technologies like 5G Private Network, Edge Computing, and AI will revolutionize business operations, collaboration, and innovation. Our goal is to address the evolving needs of the public sector, government-linked companies, enterprises, and SMEs by offering tailored digital transformation solutions.”
The second MoU, signed with Schneider Electric Malaysia, focuses on integrating Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT). Schneider will lead the OT efforts, while Enfrasys will drive IT initiatives to modernise and optimise industrial innovation solutions. The collaboration aims to provide cloud infrastructure, data analytics capabilities, and AI tools to enhance data-driven decision-making in the healthcare and energy sectors.
Tengku Razmi Tengku Othman, CEO of Enfrasys, commented, “This collaboration allows for the integration of IT and OT to enhance industry functionality and efficiency. It also promotes the amalgamation of IT and OT for infrastructure ventures to drive advanced digital transformation. Enfrasys will focus on establishing foundational IT elements for digital transformation, including high-speed connectivity, cloud and data center infrastructure, and integrated digital platforms. Our solutions leverage data analytics, AI, and secure compute and storage capabilities to drive transformation.”
Tengku Razmi also introduced Enfrasys’ eNexCloud offerings, which provide hybrid and private cloud services. He noted that eNexCloud meets Malaysia Data Residency compliance, offers a “pay as you grow” model, and can scale to public cloud for additional computing power when needed.
