CHICAGO — Emergency crews were called to the scene of a fire that erupted at an apartment building on the city’s North Side on Thursday evening.
Officials from the Chicago Fire Department said the blaze broke out around 6 p.m. in the 1900 block of West School Street in Roscoe Village.
A photo provided by Chicago police shows smoke billowing from nearly every floor of the four-story structure as crews worked to get the blaze under control.
Crews used ladder trucks to get water on the flames burning in the upper levels of the building.
No injuries were reported and it is currently unclear what sparked the blaze.
