EdgePoint Infrastructure, a leading ASEAN-based independent telecommunications infrastructure company has appointed Mahmood Fawzy (pic) as the new Chairman of EdgePoint Malaysia Holdings Sdn Bhd.
Fawzy currently serves as chairman of Air Asia X Bhd and Deutsche Bank (Malaysia) Bhd, in addition to serving as a board member of AIA General Bhd and Hong Leong Asset Management Bhd. Formerly an Executive Director with Khazanah Nasional Bhd, Chief Executive Officer of Engen Petroleum Limited in South Africa and Executive Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), he joins EdgePoint with a wealth of experience around strategy, governance, risk management and cross border activity in the financial services, telecommunications, investment management and private equity sectors.
He was previously, amongst others, a board member of Hong Leong Assurance Bhd and Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Bhd, Chairman of the Financial Services Professional Board, Senior Independent Director of Telekom Malaysia Bhd, a member of the board of Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, Hong Leong Islamic Bank Bhd, as well as Pos Malaysia Bhd.

Muniff also formally announced the full leadership team in Malaysia. It comprises of Lee Yee San (Vice President of Finance), Hanad Yusuf (Chief Sales and Commercial Officer), Ravin Vickneswaran (Head of Innovation & Technical Solutions), Kumaresan Munisamy (Head of Engineering and Implementation) and Nor Izhar Mohammad Zain (Head of Property & Permit Management). Apart from swiftly integrating acquisitions to reach 1,000 sites, the team celebrated their 100th new build to suit site this quarter.
