Springfield, Mo. – On March 22, at 3:01 p.m., officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Fremont and Buena Vista.
David Rodgers, 37, from Springfield, was driving a 2016 Ford Mustang northbound on Fremont and entered the southbound lane of Fremont. Rodgers’ vehicle hit a southbound 2022 Kia Telluride driven by Alyssa Loveland, 36, of Springfield. Loveland was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Rodgers died at the scene. Rodgers’ family was notified.

This was Springfield’s fifth fatal motor vehicle crash in 2025.
