Death under investigation in South Portland

A death is under investigation in South Portland.

The death was discovered about 1:55 p.m. Wednesday when officers did a well-being check at a Mussey Street home, according to Shara Dee, a spokesperson for the city of South Portland.

Few details have been released, but Dee said there is no danger to the public.

South Portland police are releasing no additional information and are directing all questions to the Maine State Police.
