Pa. Gov. Josh Shapiro was in Philly on Monday to visit the Weitzman Museum’s pop-up exhibit, “The Moment Music Stood Still,” marking the one-year anniversary of the Oct. 7 attack by Hamas on Israel.

4 p.m.: The mayor will join Superintendent Dr. Tony Watlington and City Officials at Southwark Elementary School, 1835 S. 9th St, to give an update on the progress of the Parker Administration initiative on Extended Day Extended Year schooling.
Yesterday, Mayor Parker signed an executive order renaming and establishing the Office of LGBTQ+ Affairs, appointed new commissioners to the Mayor’s LGBTQ+ Commission, and announced a new Chief Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Officer.
