The crowd goes wild, almost as much as Booker T.
The ending scene of WWE NXT Roadblock saw Stephanie Vaquer and the New York City crowd relish her title-for-title victory over Giulia. During the preceding action itself, the crowd issued cheers to another figure as well, namely NXT commentator Booker T.
This scene occurred when Vaquer delivered a series of rear leg triangle head slams to Giulia, which elicited a lively reaction from Booker. Afterward, Vaquer covered Giulia for a two count. Meanwhile, Booker continued to call the action in front of him, while also chuckling from the “Booker T” chants that filled The Theater at Madison Square Garden.
Aside from his NXT commentary, Booker has established himself as a big fan of Vaquer’s move, so much so that “La Primera” sometimes points to Booker while setting it up in the ring. Despite losing her NXT Women’s title last night, it seems that Giulia is also a fan of the Vaquer’s move as she bounced Vaquer’s head off the mat with the same form during their match.
With her win, Vaquer now holds both the NXT Women’s and Women’s North American Championships. Her reign with the latter title began with a win over Fallon Henley at NXT Vengeance Day. The New York crowd was clearly excited to see Booker, as he also got a “Hulk Hogan, we comin’ for you” chant when he made his entrance.
