NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Fantastic fall weather is on the way over the next couple of days as we start the weekend. Expect a cool start to the day both Friday and Saturday with widespread 40s north and low to mid 50s south.
Temperatures will warm only into the low 70s by Friday afternoon and then mid 70s Saturday. Look for dry air to stay in place both days. Humidity creeps up a little by Sunday as temperatures warm into the upper 70s but it will still be a pleasant day.
The big story next week will be a cold front moving across the country with much cooler weather behind it. At this point expect rain chances to increase on Tuesday as the front moves through. It’s possible some moisture from the remnants of Sara could also move into the area along the front although details are still in question. Otherwise we won’t see any major impacts.
