CPD officer dead after shooting on South Side: sources

CHICAGO – A Chicago police officer was shot and killed Monday night on the city’s South Side, according to multiple sources.

Police said the incident happened near the intersection of East 82nd Street and South Ingleside Avenue in the Chatham neighborhood.

Multiple sources have told WGN News that an officer was shot and taken to University of Chicago Hospital where they died.

No other information was released.
