COOK COUNTY, Ill. – The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 29-year-old fugitive who removed his electronic monitoring device in December 2024.
The sheriff’s office said Enrique Villegas was facing multiple charges, including aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, domestic battery and aggravated fleeing after he allegedly attacked his victim with a gun and fled from authorities. He was found a short time later and taken into custody.
On Dec. 18, 2024, just one week after being ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device, Villegas left his home and removed his device in the 6300 block of South Maplewood Avenue in Chicago, according to investigators.
Villegas is about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 145 pounds.
He also has multiple arrest warrants out of Cook County and was last seen in the 6100 block of South Martin Luther King Drive in Woodlawn.

The public is warned not to engage him if spotted.
