HUDSON, N.Y. (NEWS10)– In collaboration with Greene County Family Planning, Columbia-Greene Community College unveiled its new reproductive health care clinic on campus. This is a first for the college and for Family Planning.
This clinic is family planning’s first satellite location and for the college, it’s the first clinic to offer reproductive health services. The clinic will offer a large array of services, including contraceptive care, STD testing, education and exams for students, staff and their families regardless of their ability to pay.
“The official opening of this clinic site strengthens the partnership between Columbia-Greene Community College and Family Planning, and offers easy access to the students for physicals, cancer screenings, contraception, and wellness to help their academic journey be the healthiest one possible,” said Laura Churchill, Greene County director of public health.
The facility reinforces the college’s commitment to enhancing student well-being and health resources for the community. According to the college, the partnership with Family Planning reflects a shared vision of expanding health care access and education.
“We are thrilled to partner with Greene County Family Planning to bring this essential service to our campus,” said Dr. Carlee Drummer, president of Columbia-Greene Community College. “This clinic will be a valuable resource for our students and a significant step forward in our mission to promote overall health and wellness.”
For more information about the clinic, including hours and available services, visit the Columbia-Greene Community College website. Patients of Family Planning can also choose services at the satellite location or at the main office, when making an appointment.
