CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A Clifton Park man was arrested on Oct. 11 for assaulting a person near Maxwell Drive. Malik Simms, 19, was arrested and faces multiple charges.
Troopers say on Oct. 11 around 10:54 a.m., a person with multiple visible injuries went into the Clifton Park trooper barracks and reported an unknown man had assaulted them. Upon an investigation, troopers say the victim was approached by Simms, who allegedly hit and kicked the victim until they lost consciousness.
Simms was found walking around Maxwell Drive and was taken into custody, with resistance. After Troopers were able to arrest Simms, he provided false identifying information.
Charges:
- Assault in the third degree
- Resisting arrest,
- Obstructing Governmental Administration in the second degree
- False Personation
The victim was transported by emergency medical services to a hospital for treatment. Simms was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Clifton Park Town Court of Oct. 24 and was released.
