It is another very cold start across the state with many locations waking up to temperatures well below freezing. Cloud coverage has mostly moved out of the state, but more will build in from the west throughout the day today. Thin high clouds will be draped over central and northern New Mexico by this evening.
Even though we’re waking up very cold, a warming trend will continue into next week for our afternoons. Quiet weather is going to be in place for the next several days across the state. Temperatures will be on a slow warming trend, with winds staying mostly light and skies staying partly sunny with no chances for precipitation through at least the middle of next week apart form the far southeastern parts of New Mexico where a spotty shower chance will be possible.
