The project capitalises competences and experiences of experts from six European countries and ‘equips’ VET professionals and staff working in HR with innovative content, tools and apps.
Main benefits
1. Recognition of the role of VET and HR professionals and demonstration of the complementary knowledge, skills, autonomy and responsibilities they need to acquire, so they can become ambassadors of an attractive VET system through:
- competence profile of VET professionals – a competence framework that covers the requirements of high-quality professional performance of all actors in a VET process (e.g. teachers, trainers, mentors, HR staff, etc.);
- code of conduct – an innovative web-based self-assessment tool to support and lead VET professionals in reaching the desired level of competences.
2. Acquisition of a specific skillset by the targeted VET professionals through the AGORA VET Pro 4.0 training programme, which integrates the following three modules:
- partnership tool-training module for promotional VET campaigns – practical and easy to comprehend training material following all stages of the event management process, enriched with 12 role plays to support the acquisition of required competences;
- virtual spaces and videos – an easy-to-implement online tool to follow and monitor the progress of event management;
- a theory learning digest, i.e. a treasure trove of 120 best practices classified in the following groups:
- incentives for entering VET for both teachers and students;
- assessed skills for entering the labour market;
- shaping qualifications to participate in VET;
- job profiles that can be upgraded through VET;
- promotion of community lifelong learning;
- provision of counselling and vocational guidance for young jobseekers;
- searching for VET opportunities across Europe;
- promoting VET programmes through promotional campaigns; organising career days as a VET educator.
3. Inspiration, career planning and showcasing VET as an attractive choice through the AGORA VET Pro 4.0 Talks and App. These include:
- 12 inspirational videos with success stories by recognised professionals to empower young people to join a VET career path;
- 60 stories from professionals representing 15 countries and an outstanding variety of professions, such as: project managers, teachers, dentists, radiologists, public servants, high-level management professionals, electricians, actors, cleaners, illustrators, hairdressers, yoga teachers, ecologists, architects, sport centre managers, security company founders, entrepreneurs, footballers, cooks, hotel receptionists, etc;
- a quiz on job characteristics and preferences;
- an application with an algorithm which matches the answers of a quiz to the three most suitable professionals.
