TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A boil water advisory was issued for the Village of Tangipahoa on Tuesday, Nov. 26, following reports of a loss of pressure, pump failure and electrical issues at the water system.
Officials recommend that residents boil water for at least three minutes before taking part in any activities that could lead to consumption, such as drinking, preparing food, brushing teeth or making ice.
The advisory will reportedly be rescinded once water sample tests confirm that the water is safe again. Anyone with questions can contact The Village of Tangipahoa City Hall or call 985-229-8300.
