DENVER (KDVR) — After Vail and Beaver Creek’s largest home hit the market for two months, the $25 million house is heading to auction.
The over 20,000-square-foot house was listed on Sotheby’s International Realty after several prominent homeowners, including Sergio Bolaños, a businessman tied to Pemex contracting and the oil workers’ union, and Dr. Malik and Seeme Hasan, the founder of QualMed, which grew into the Fortune 200 company HealthNet.
The house went up for grabs again in January, and now it’s going to be in an auction set to open soon.
The listing said the 9-bedroom, 13-bathroom house was designed in 1985 by architect Charles Sink, the designer of Vail Village’s Clock Tower. It comes with ballroom-inspired rooms, a wine salon that can hold up to 2,000 bottles, a tasting room, a library, a sauna, an indoor pool and a spa with a staircase that leads up to the 5,000-square-foot primary suite
Originally listed for $25 million, it’s now going to be available for auction on Concierge Auctions starting on April 9 at 5 p.m. The bidding will go on for a week, then the auction will close on April 16 at 8 p.m.
“The Concierge Auctions process reveals true market value with certainty and reaches people across the globe, which is invaluable. The world’s finest art, automobiles, and antiques are sold at auction – so, too, is luxury real estate such as this Beaver Creek home,” said Malia Cox Nobrega with LIV Sotheby’s International Realty. “This approach ensures that the combined strengths of local market expertise and global marketing drive successful outcomes.”
The auction site said it expects the bidding to start between $4 million and $8 million.
