NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officials with the Algiers Economic Development Foundation announced the return of the annual Algiers Holiday Bonfire and Concert.
The event, presented by OnPath Federal Credit Union, will happen on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Algiers batture at 200 Morgan St. from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
“We’re proud to highlight the incredible talent and tight-knit community that makes Algiers such a wonderful place to call home,” said Algiers Economic Development Foundation Executive Director Kelsey Foster.
Organizers said the event will feature Algiers business, talent, and a 30’ bonfire designed by the local artists of NOLA Burners.
The concert lineup will include the Shades of Praise Interracial Choir and New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy Band, dancers from Ballerinas of the Bayou and Sunpie Barnes with the Louisiana Sunspots headlining.
DJ Jazzy Mizzle will host the event.
Sponsors of the event include Algiers Development District, K. Allen Consulting, COS Construction, and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
