An amazing story regarding famous poker pro Alan Keating has surfaced on social media, prompting many to commend him for his generosity.
Matt Kiefer, another American poker pro, shared the story on X on Thursday. He explained that Keating tipped a poker dealer in Las Vegas’ ARIA Resort & Casino $5,000 after finding out he was getting married, when that dealer tried to thank him later, Keating had forgotten all about it:
Among the comments applauding Keating for the act, Joseph Strazzera popped up claiming to be the dealer in question. He explained that it was actually his wedding night, having gotten married three hours before the situation. “I was in my tux and my wife was in her wedding dress,” Strazzera explained. “It was the most generous thing I’ve ever witnessed.
He said what are you talking about Joe?”
Questioned as to whether Keating did fail to remember the tip at a later date, Strazzera confirmed the rumour. “I walked up to him, shook his hand and said I can’t thank you enough. It was extremely generous of you. He said what are you talking about Joe?”
