A Chareston highway project has dragged on for 8 years. It cost $100M more than when it started.

The expansion will add two lanes to the highway from U.S. Highway 17 to Clements Ferry Road, doubling the number of lanes for most of the road. Since it started, the price has ballooned by over $100 million.
