As sheriff/coroner, Bianco oversees a department of more than 3,600 employees that’s responsible for public safety, coroner’s services, courthouse security, search and rescue and five jails in America’s 10th-most populous county. With more than 7,300 square miles, Riverside County rivals New Jersey in size.
