Jennifer Lopez chose Gucci for Christmas 2022, as detailed in her latest On the JLo newsletter, which was sent out to subscribers on Monday, Dec. 26. The 53-year-old star wore a turquoise bow-print cocktail dress from the fashion house for the actual holiday, but she rang in the season days before on Dec. 17 with a Hollywood star-studded party that she hosted with husband Ben Affleck.
For that more formal occasion, she chose a glittering Gucci maxi with a high neck, bishop sleeves, and a green bird print — fitting, since she set this year’s theme as “Hummingbird Christmas” to pay homage to one of the songs she wrote for her upcoming album “This Is Me . . . Now.” The first gown, which, she wrote, she’d kept in her closet for a year, was styled with a high ponytail, crystal earrings, and a sweep of green eyeshadow. This was likely at the hands of her glam squad, which includes stylist duo Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn; makeup artist Mary Phillips, and hairdresser Chris Appleton, who gave her a glamorous blond lob just in time for the festivities.
When Lopez slipped into the blue minidress on Christmas, she secured her hair in a slicked-back bun with a center part in order to showcase her outfit details. The multihyphenate accented the red bows and two roses on her collar with Valentino’s towering Tan-Go platform pumps and a swipe of rouge lipstick. The ensemble was finished with silver rings and Van Cleef & Arpels Rose de Noel flower earrings.
On Dec. 6, we also caught a glimpse of Lopez’s almond-shaped holiday nails, which came with french tips and wintry decals, such as flurries of snowflakes and candy-cane stripes. In other words, it’s clear she’s been decorating for Christmas all month long.
Ahead, admire Lopez’s two Gucci dresses and shop her exact pair of Valentino shoes.
