FRANKFORT, Ind. — Law enforcement is searching for a man who was allegedly involved in a police chase on Tuesday.
Frankfort Police Chief Scott Shoemaker reported that his officers engaged in a pursuit with a man on a motorcycle. Shoemaker identified the man was 35-year-old Devin Cox of Frankfort.
Police were chasing Cox because he allegedly violated the terms of his probation and committed burglary and theft.
The chase ended soon after a crash involving an FPD officer and an uninvolved driver occurred. Shoemaker confirmed the officer and uninvolved driver were not injured in the crash.
The officer’s car and the uninvolved driver’s vehicle were towed from the scene. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office has been tasked with investigating the crash.
Cox was not apprehended during the chase. FPD reported that Cox is still wanted and should be considered armed and dangerous.
