SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The North County Transit District announced it is expanding COASTER service to give fans a safe and convenient way to get to and from Petco Park on Padres game days.
According to a news release Wednesday, NCTD said it will add 70 trips during the Padres season with COASTER 699 departing from Santa Fe Depot Platform 1 one hour after a game.
The expanded service also applies to fireworks shows or other special events, the release stated.
Padres fans can transfer from COASTER to the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) Trolley using a COASTER Regional Pass.

Parking at most COASTER stations is free.
The Padres face the Atlanta Braves in their home opener Thursday at 1:10 p.m. at Petco Park.
