Notice is hereby given that the City of Bainbridge Island Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on updated design standards and design review process to comply with HB 1293. The proposal includes an ordinance with code changes, a manual with updated design standards, and a resolution to change submittal requirements. Changes to the manual include for the purpose of objectivity as well as streamlining and reducing redundancy. Changes to the code are to reduce the design review process from three meetings to one (per the legislation), and to slightly adjust the scope of design review (removing subdivisions and adding minor site plan review permits in the Winslow area).
Meetings are held in person at City Hall (280 Madison Ave N) and via Zoom. To attend / participate via Zoom, click the meeting link on the City’s home page calendar at www.bainbridgewa.gov/calendar.
