DENVER (KDVR) — Part of Interstate 25 will be closed for two hours Saturday morning due to an ongoing crash investigation.
Southbound lanes of the interstate will be closed at RidgeGate Parkway from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. as police complete the investigation of a crash that happened earlier this week.
On Wednesday around 7:30 p.m., four vehicles and one motorcycle were involved in a crash. The city said in a post on X that serious injuries were reported, but did not release details of those injuries.
The scene was cleared and the road was reopened in under two hours.
“Due to the time of the accident, officers were unable to complete the investigation which could not be completed at night. This closure is necessary to allow for proper documentation and evidence collection,” the city wrote in a post on X Friday.
Traffic will be diverted off the highway at RidgeGate Parkway onto Havana Street, where drivers can continue south and turn onto Hess Road in Castle Pines and get back onto the interstate.
