NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Warmer temperatures tonight as humidity continues to filter in ahead of a weak disturbance moving through the region. Lows will mainly be in the low 60s. Expect another warm day Thursday with more clouds as temperatures top out around 80. Breezy conditions will continue as well.
Moisture continues to flow in from the south on Friday as winds pick up ahead of the next front to start the weekend. We will be around 80 again. Look for a few spotty showers through the day but nothing that impressive.
It looks like a stronger front will move in on Saturday. This is still several days out but could be our next chance of strong to severe storms. Right now the timing of this looks earlier than last Saturday and rain could impact area events that afternoon. The SPC already has a level 3 outlook for the area north of I-10. Several ingredients look to be coming together for severe weather, although at the moment it looks like the more widespread storm development is just to our north. Stay tuned for more details on as we get closer.
