NORRISTOWN,PA – Montgomery County announced that it has brought on Anthony Brew to lead the County’s Human Resources Department as its new Chief Human Resource Officer.
Anthony Brew joins Montgomery County with more than two decades of experience in leading employee engagement and talent management at large organizations, including in Philadelphia and Montgomery County.
“Anthony has strong experience in leading human resources for large and complex organizations, with a focus on developing inclusive practices, and enhancing professional development and employee retention,” said Neil K. Makhija, Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. “Anthony’s background aligns with our goals to cultivate a work environment that values and supports its people. When we take care of our public service personnel, they are best positioned to take care of the County and its residents.”

Brew holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and an Executive MBA from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. His educational background, combined with his extensive professional experience, has provided him with a well-rounded perspective on how to successfully lead HR initiatives and drive organizational change.
“Anthony has a lot of experience managing human resources for large employers in this region, including in Philadelphia and Horsham, and has an MBA from Temple University,” said Tom DiBello, Montgomery County Commissioner. “This gives him a lot of professional and local knowledge to bring to the table in leading our almost 3,000 strong workforce at the County.”
He began his career in human resources at Horsham-based GMAC/Residential Capital Corporation, then served as Vice President of Business Operations and Chief Human Resource Officer at Sovereign Inc. in Philadelphia. He joins Montgomery County from TrueBlue Inc. where he headed Human Resource operations and executed a comprehensive DEI strategy as Chief Diversity Officer.
