Seth Rollins was set to clash with Bronson Reed once again at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14, 2024, but plans fell apart after Reed suffered a brutal ankle injury.
Speaking with WFAN, Rollins admitted he was disappointed to miss out on the event—especially since Jesse Ventura was on commentary.
“I was so bummed,” Rollins said. “I think I was on the books for a match for that show, but my opponent, Bronson Reed, decided to jump off the top of a cage and snap his ankle. My match got scrapped.”
Reed’s injury occurred at WWE Survivor Series 2024 during the WarGames Match, where he attempted a high-risk dive from the top of the cage, only to suffer a serious ankle injury on impact.
As of now, Reed remains sidelined, and there’s no word on when he’ll be medically cleared to return. Meanwhile, Rollins has kept busy, most recently picking up a controversial win over CM Punk inside a steel cage on WWE Raw at Madison Square Garden.
With Reed’s future uncertain, it remains to be seen if he and Rollins will eventually settle their unfinished business.
