GRAND ISLE, La. (WGNO) — Four people have been arrested following a drug investigation that took place in Grand Isle on Monday, Nov. 25.
According to the Grand Isle Police Department, the case began with a traffic stop at Melon Lane and LA 1 on a beige Toyota Avalon that reportedly had no insurance.

Police say further information was obtained that showed a Jefferson Parish fugitive, identified as Donny Dodson, of Marksville, was allegedly a passenger in the Avalon at some point and could have had more drugs.
Dodson was found at 3125 LA 1 campgrounds, where he was arrested and the camper was searched, reportedly leading to the discovery of 19.4 grams of synthetic marijuana, 11.4 grams of heroin and 22.6 grams of methamphetamine.

Two others were also arrested as a result of the camper search. They have been identified as Jackie Dodson, of Grand Isle, and Ali Richie, of Marksville.
All of the arrested suspects were taken to the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center for booking and further procedure.
