SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A portion of a major road in Chula Vista is closed Monday after a water leak caused significant damage to the road late Sunday evening.
The City of Chula Vista and the Chula Vista Police Department put out a traffic alert Monday morning after a water leak around 10:30 p.m. Sunday caused major damage to Olympic Parkway at the intersection with Brandywine Avenue in Chula Vista.
According to the police department, westbound Olympic Parkway is closed at Heritage Road Monday and isn’t expected to reopen for at least another day, however they said the closure could last longer.

City of Chula Vista Public Works was at the scene Monday morning.
