CHICAGO — The U.S. Postal Service’s “Operation Santa” is underway — and they are asking for help to make holiday wishes come true.
The USPS processes letters sent to Santa by hopeful kids and families from around the country.
Under the 112-year-old program, generous postal service customers help make the holidays magical for less fortunate children and families.
You can either send Santa a letter or adopt one as a Santa’s helper.
How to write a letter
When writing to Santa, it’s important to use the proper address as well as making sure there is a stamp on the envelope — that will help the letters reach Santa in time. Also include your name and address. Last call for letters to Santa is Dec. 9.
Santa’s mailing address is:
Santa
123 Elf Road
North Pole, 88888
How to adopt a letter
Spread joy by adopting letters from individuals or families before adoption ends on Dec. 16.
