The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating what they call a “natural death” after a dead body was found in a car late Sunday night.
An LAPD spokesperson confirmed to KTLA that officers were responding to reports of a dead body found inside a vehicle on Hauser Boulevard in the West Adams neighborhood at 11:54 p.m.
A later update from LAPD Officer Cervantes indicated the death was determined to be “natural” and that a homicide investigation was not being conducted.
Video from the scene shows a white Toyota SUV with a banner of some sort covering the windshield. A man was also seen talking to detectives, although his connection to the incident is unclear.
Officers later removed what was covering the windshield and were seen pushing what appeared to be the dead body on a stretcher.
No other details – including the decedent’s identity – were released.
Nancy Fontan and KTLA photojournalist Josh Jenkins contributed to this report.
