The latest addition to Dunwoody’s Campus 244 complex, Atlanta Element Perimeter Center, a 145-room hotel, has opened its doors.
According to an announcement by developer The Georgetown Company, Element is part of a 12-acre campus that also includes 400,000 square-foot of office space, restaurants, bars and greenspace.
Campus 244 is a redevelopment of the former Gold Kist Headquarters. The site is located off Perimeter Center Parkway, just south of the Dunwoody MARTA station.
The hotel features eco-friendly amenities, such as electric car charging stations and advanced water filtration systems, rooms with in-room kitchens, spa-inspired bathrooms, and social spaces for guests.
The Element Atlanta Perimeter Center also contains Stäge Kitchen & Bar, and Spruce Social House, a lobby bar.
“We are proud to continue our longstanding partnership with Marriott International and broaden our presence in the Atlanta market by opening our latest hotel,” said Mitch Patel, Founder and CEO of Vision Hospitality Group, which owns and manages the hotel.
Campus 244, developed by The Georgetown Company and RocaPoint Partners, has leased 340,000 square feet of space. Current tenants include Transportation Insight, a transportation logistics firm, Insight Global, a technology-focused staffing agency, and CT Cantina & Taqueria, a casual Mexican eatery.
In 2021, the Dunwoody Development Authority approved a roughly $23 million tax break to redevelop the site.
In 2022, Campus 244 was included as an entertainment district, joining other already-established areas, Ashford Lane, High Street, and Perimeter entertainment districts.
