It’s been one heck of a week, so let’s set our sights on a weekend packed with laughs, art, craft fairs and falafel.
This week’s events roundup is another master class in how to have fun in and around Portland. There are still tickets left to see comic David Cross at the State Theatre on Friday. Same goes for “Angels in America: Part 2” at Portland Stage. If you’d rather have your fun outdoors, consider the Cranksgiving bicycle ride on Saturday.
Now about that falafel…
Two words: French fries! You read that right, it’s one of many delicious ingredients that make the Falafel Plus wrap from Mr. Chickpea in South Portland so irresistible. What’s more, it won’t break the bank with its $7.95 price tag.
Another thing that won’t break the bank is a visit to the Portland Museum of Art on Friday. Heck, it won’t even make a dent, because every Friday admission to the museum is free from 4 to 8 p.m. Current exhibits include “As We Are,” “Peggy Bacon: Biting, never Bitter” and “Passages in American Art.”
Now, let’s talk about live music! Grab tickets to see singer-songwriter Odie Leigh at Portland House of Music on Saturday, or choose from a bunch of other shows. We’ve got a mega list with a ton of options.
Finally, a handy reminder about our holiday craft show guide! Get out there and shop local. Fairs this weekend include the Makers Market at Old Smith Farm in Falmouth and the Celtic Fair & State Street Stroll in Portland, among others.
