History Hunt 2024: Recap and Grand Prize Winner
Thank you to everyone who participated in the History Hunt 2024! This one-time event, held from October 1st to October 31st, was a fantastic success, allowing participants to explore local history and test their puzzle-solving skills. We hope you enjoyed discovering our community’s hidden historical gems!
The Grand Prize
The History Hunt 2024 winner will be announced at the November County Board Meeting. The Winner will receive an incredible grand prize, including:
- One night stay in a Junior Suite at Chula Vista Resort with 4 Water Park Passes (valid through June 30, 2025).
- A $25 Dining Voucher for Kaminski’s Chop House, Kilbourn City Grill, or The Tavern Restaurant.
Note: Winner is responsible for resort fees, cleaning fees, pet fees, taxes, and additional person fees.

For those who completed the hunt, the solution to the word puzzle was:

We hope this phrase captured the spirit of the event—celebrating our community while offering a fun and adventurous challenge.
History Hunt Signs: A Key to the Adventure
Throughout the History Hunt, participants were guided by special 11″x18″ signs placed at each historic location. These signs featured fascinating historical facts about the area and included a word that was essential to completing the puzzle. Each sign was a small treasure trove of local history, providing insight into our community’s past while also helping hunters piece together the larger puzzle. We hope these signs added to your adventure and deepened your appreciation for the history that surrounds us.
