SOUTHPORT, IN – Indiana State Police is investigating an officer involved shooting with the Southport Police Department.
Details are limited at this time but according to ISP, a Southport officer attempted a traffic stop.
That stop turned into a foot pursuit, and at some point the officer-involved shooting occurred in the area near Stop 11 Road and Madison Ave.
State Police say that the Indianapolis Metro Police Department initially responded to the scene and asked ISP if they can assist with the investigation.
