The 14-year-old boy accused of shooting and killing four people and injuring several others at Apalachee High School in Barrow County last month has entered a plea of not guilty.
The plea was entered in Barrow County Superior Court on Tuesday according to court documents, with Colt Gray waiving his arraignment that had been scheduled for November.
Gray faces more than 50 total charges, with multiple counts each of murder, aggravated assault and cruelty to children among others. He is currently being held in the Barrow County Jail without bond.
The plea was filed by Gray’s attorney, Alfonso Kraft, Jr. with the Georgia Public Defender Council.
Gray’s father, Colin Gray, also remains jailed on dozens of charges related to allowing Colt access to the weapon that was allegedly used in the September 4 shooting. His arraignment remains scheduled for November.
