AMITE, La. (WGNO) — A man has been arrested in connection with a double homicide investigation that began back on July 23.
According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, on the day of the incident, just before 5 a.m., a woman called 911 and said she had been shot at a mobile home in the 600 block of M.L.K. Street.
On arrival, law enforcement reportedly found the woman Chrissy Jenkins, as well as her live-in boyfriend, Christopher Hedgewood, both dead due to gunshot wounds. Both victims were in their late 20s.
Officials say detectives worked alongside Crimestoppers of Tangipahoa to investigate the case and offer a reward for information, even up to $10,000 as of September. While few tips were received, detectives eventually made progress with forensic evidence, reportedly identifying 21-year-old Ryan Snow as at least one suspect in the case.
Snow was taken into custody on Friday, Oct. 18, and was booked on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of obstruction of justice.
Anyone with additional information that could help in the investigation is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Office at 985-902-2008.
