(BCN) — Santa Rosa Police Department arrested a teenager Friday evening for allegedly possessing a loaded firearm during a traffic stop.
SRPD officers pulled Tyler Mack, 19, over on suspicion of multiple moving violations, police said.
After noticing alcohol containers in the car during their conversation, the officers searched the vehicle and located a loaded 9mm handgun in the possession of Mack.
Mack was arrested for alleged possession of a concealed and loaded firearm in public.
The arrest is part of the Police Department’s effort to address the rise in illegal firearm possession and gun violence in the city.
