FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department continues to investigate a large house fire on the city’s south side Saturday.
It happened just after 5 a.m. in the 2200 block of Oliver Street. The home was one of two homes that caught fire Friday afternoon in the same location. It’s unclear what caused the fire to reignite Saturday morning. It took about a half hour for crews to get the fire under control according to a news release from the Fort Wayne Fire Department.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department, Three River Ambulance Authority, and Fort Wayne Police Department Arson & Investigation Division were on the scene and there were no injuries.
A WANE 15 videographers could see firefighters cutting off the roof to get to remaining hotspots.
Investigators are working to find the cause.
