KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Detectives with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department are investigating a shooting that left one person dead Thursday morning.
Around 7 a.m., officers were sent to the area of 49th Drive and Dickinson Road on a person lying on the road.

Officers said when they arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting is under investigation by KCKPD. Unit. Anyone with information is urged to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
