NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The upper low from Francine is still spinning around to our north and has been gradually sinking south over the past couple of days. We will continue to see the chance for showers to pop up and rotate through the area on Tuesday like we have to start the week. Locally heavy downpours will be possible with the best chance of rain being south of I-10.
By Wednesday only a few isolated showers will be possible with mostly dry conditions by Thursday and Friday. Afternoon temperatures will continue to be warm through the week with daytime highs in the upper 80s to around 90. Overnight lows will mainly be around 70 north with low to mid 70s south.
It looks like slightly lower humidity will move in for the end of the week by Thursday. This will make it feel a bit nicer but overall no real shot of fall weather anytime soon.
