WICHITA, Kan. — Head coach Brian Green and the Wichita State baseball program announced the fall exhibition schedule on Saturday, with two games against outside opposition and a five-game Black & Yellow Fall World Series.
The Shockers will travel to Lincoln, Nebraska on Saturday, September 21 to take on Nebraska at Haymarket Park, with a first pitch time scheduled for 1:00 pm. Wichita State and the Huskers split a two-game series this past spring at Eck Stadium.
Wichita State will host Dallas Baptist on Saturday, October 19 at Eck Stadium, another 1:00 pm start time. The contest against the Patriots will be 14 innings, the same format the two teams utilized last fall when the two programs met in Dallas.
WSU concludes the fall with the annual Black & Yellow Fall World Series, a five-game series from October 22-26 with each game scheduled as a 6-inning affair. First pitch times for the Fall World Series will be announced at a later date.
The Shockers are coming off a 32-29 campaign in Brian Green‘s first season as head coach, culminating in the program’s first appearance in the American Athletic Conference tournament championship game. Wichita State returns three players who were named to the AAC All-Freshman team in Camden Johnson, Lane Haworth and Tyler Dobbs, plus a veteran core of position players highlighted by Mauricio Millan, Jordan Rogers, Josh Livingston, Jaden Gustafson and Ryan Callahan.
