(KRON) — Palo Alto fans of Starbird Chicken can rejoice as a location is opening in their city. Starbird is opening this Friday, Sept. 13 in Palo Alto, the restaurant chain specializing in crispy chicken announced on its Facebook page.
Palo Alto Starbird is open Monday to Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. On Sunday, it is open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant is located at 2515 El Camino Real Suite 102. It is next to a BevMo! and near Ike’s Love & Sandwiches.
The Palo Alto location is doing a giveaway for its grand opening. Starting at 10 a.m., Starbird is giving away free meals to the first 500 people. Two of those 500 will be handed a “Golden Ticket” that will give away an entire year of free food from Starbird.
According to Starbird’s website, those who also sign up on Starbird’s email list can claim a free meal during the Palo Alto location’s opening weeks.
Starbird is also opening restaurants in two more Bay Area cities: Pleasanton and Cupertino. Their respective opening dates are to be determined, but Starbird’s website says “coming soon.”
Starbird was founded in the Bay Area back in 2016. The first restaurant opened in Sunnyvale at 1241 W El Camino Real and remains open eight years later.
It has since expanded to multiple locations in Southern California: Hermosa Beach, Los Angeles and Marina Del Rey.
