BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It’s a bittersweet moment for parks staff, but it has been a good season for the Russell Sims Aquatic Center.
As summer ends, so do many outside activities like swimming, and with the closing of Russell Sims Aquatic Center comes both fond reflections and anxious preparations.
News 40 spoke to Cameron Levis about the closing day, who said this year has been the best in a while.
Levis serves as the recreation division director for Bowling Green Parks anf Recreaction and said this year was a one for the books. Levis told us that a lot more money and attendance came this season, but that’s not the focus of success for the department.
