PENDLETON, Ind. — A Pendleton man was arrested on domestic battery and criminal confinement charges on Sunday.
According to a press release, Indiana State Police served a search warrant at a Pendleton residence around 10 a.m. With assistance from an ISP special weapons and tactics (SWAT) unit, law enforcement took 48-year-old Daniel Robert Penticuff into custody.
State police reported that, after an investigation, troopers determined Penticuff had engaged in an argument with an individual at a residence in Madison County early Saturday morning. The verbal argument ultimately turned physical, and Penticuff injured the person he had the dispute with.
Per ISP, the victim got away from the residence, contacted a relative and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police reported that Penticuff peacefully cooperated with ISP and its SWAT team when they executed a search warrant on the residence he was in Sunday morning. After an interview, Penticuff was booked into the Madison County Jail.
Penticuff has been preliminarily charged with domestic battery, criminal confinement and strangulation.
All of the charges are Level 6 Felonies. The maximum penalty for a Level 6 Felony in Indiana is a 2.5-year prison sentence and a fine of up to $10,000.
